One of the most popular questions asked online: How much money Instagram models make?

After much research and interviews with models that I managed to talk with, here are some figures to give you an idea how much money do these models make.

Keep in mind, the amount money each model makes varies depending on popularity, demographics etc. So, I’d recommend to take these figures more like guidelines so you can have some idea about the subject; and not rule of thumb.

Less than 10,000 followers

“Micro” influencers are considered to be from 6,000 to 10,000 followers. Based on a recent survey, these accounts could possibly make up to, an average, $88.00 per post.

Less than 100,000 followers

Influencers with 50,000 to 80,000 followers can potentially get around $200.00 per post, but the price point changes based on the advertiser(s).

An interview with Vox revealed that, ViralNation, an influencer agency (Pewdiepie one of their influencers), told the news outlet that micro influencers who have around 10,000-50,000 followers can make up to thousands of dollars now.

Less than 500,000 followers

Accounts of this stature (around 250,000-500,000 followers) have nailed that ‘game’ of Instagram influencing, with potential earnings averaging at $670.00 per post.

These are especially true if the content is on Youtube and the influencer is in the gaming industry.

Plumbing

It’s crazy to say this but yes, plumbers are scarce nowadays.

How often can you find a good plumber? It’s difficult, and even if you do find them, they either have signed up to too many customers, or they charge insane amount of fees just because they can do it.

If only there was a Youtuber dedicated to sharing such wisdom?

This is a great opportunity for those skilled with ‘nuts and bolts’ to demonstrate how it is done via Youtube.

How To Decorate Room

With plenty of time to spend at home due to the virus, why not start re-decorating that room which you’ve been holding off?

People enjoy seeing the process of creativity; and if you have the case for it, why not just share your passion for art of decorating.

How To Create Beautiful Home Garden With Limited Space

Landscaping is another idea for a Youtube channel during the outbreak.

Since most have plenty of time at home, now is the perfect for those with green thumbs to demonstrate how easy it is to grow own crops.

Provide alternative solution for those living in apartments with no garden too such as hydroponics etc.

Pet Videos

Who doesn’t love to watch videos of pets at home?

Since lockdown is still in effect (in some cities at least), now is the time you get to spend more time with your pets – so why not share that bonding session on Youtube?

Also, it doesn’t have to be the typical cats or dogs debate. It can be any animals; parrots, iguana etc.

Rare animals can be interesting to watch too!

Training/Workout At Home

When no one is allowed to go outside or to the gym, now is the best time to share variations of home workout routines for those looking to stay fit.

This is perfectly suited for fitness trainers (or models) to demonstrate ideas on how to make workouts at home fun.

Be creative in your videos, like “5 Ab Workout You Can Do On Bed” or “7 Leg Workout You Can Do In Living Room: Watching TV!” Be creative.

That’s not all. Why not expand towards healthy cooking too?!

Share healthy recipes for health conscious viewers, or high-protein recipes for fitness freaks too!

Cooking Recipes During Coronavirus

If you’re a chef or a foodie, starting a Youtube channel during the outbreak is perfect too.

Think about it, people can no longer dine outside, some cities don’t even allow food delivery companies to work.

People will certainly start to cook often at home – so why not share cooking recipes online.

Be interesting in your approach.

Create videos that encourage people to watch such as “How To Make Your Chicken Soup Tastes Better Using 5 Ingredients” or “3 Easy Kale Recipes You Can Do At Home.”

Make it simple for people to follow your instructions & try to use ingredients which are normally in household kitchen.

Remember there’s an outbreak – so don’t go fancy!

Self-Defense Channel

Watching the recent increase in crime rate made me to add this to the list.

If you look at some of the major cities, it’s mayhem. People get beaten up, looting, assaults – you name it.

I hate to say it, but this is the perfect opportunity for self-defense experts to step in and share their expertise on Youtube.

The general population will definitely start taking safety precautions which include arming themselves, travel in groups, install home security system etc.

So, why not talk about all these things. Give tips on the ‘best way to defend your home’, or ‘how to escape mob attack’ and so on. Get on it.

Couple’s Channel During Coronavirus

Quite a number of couples started complaining about living together under same roof during the outbreak.

The problem is not because they are getting bored of each other (I hope not), but they find it difficult to keep the relationship interesting due to the lack of interesting things to do at home.

If you happen to be one of the love gurus, go ahead and create videos on ‘how to make your relationship interesting during outbreak’.

Share with your audience on activities they can do at home to improve moods.

Survival Skills During Virus Outbreak

The current outbreak will get you to think twice about how fragile our society can become.

Many would start to think about surviving out there when laws are no longer applicable or that no one is going to come and help you when things go south.

Or even worse, no shops or services are available to operate as usual. These are concerns to whom survival specialists could address on their videos.

Again, this space is well-suited to be pursued by survivalist experts; to share experience and tips on survival skills.

Fixing Broken Home Appliances

Another content that would work is to provide instructions on how to fix broken home appliances.

Since no shops are open to fix broken appliances, why not create videos that instruct viewers step-by-step on fixing them.

People, in general, love to do it yourself whenever possible – so this is the perfect time for your channel to strive.

How To Get 4000 Hours of Watch Time on YouTube in 2020

MAKE MORE VIDEOS

Photo by Vlada Karpovich on Pexels.com

The more videos you have on YouTube the more videos your audience can watch. It is much easier to stack 4000 hours of watch time if you have 100+ videos for a new subscriber to binge watch, rather than just 5–10 videos on the channel.

MAKE VIDEOS LONGER

You do not need to stretch a 2–3 video into a 30minute snore, but if you can extend a video, add more value within what you are offering, then your audience will watch for longer and help get you the watch time you need.

Increase Watch Time on YouTube with Playlist Series

4000 Hours of Watch Time can seem like a mountain to climb but if you make series content that links to each other and lends itself to binge watching, then you have set the trap you need to trigger this watch time hack in 2019. Series playlists auto suggest the next video in the playlists, can auto play the content and passively builds channel watch time. Pick a topic, break it down into 5–6 videos and really deep dive into the content. Why make a rushed video that is 20–30 mins long, when you can make 5–6 very detailed 10 min tutorials or documentary on a topic that explains it better and demands more engagement.

Live Streams for fast Watch Time on YouTube

If you need watch time fast and your audience is engaged, why not live stream? Live-streaming is a great way to make quick less edited content that invites participation. Pop online with your favourite game or a live Q&A and watch your subscribers pop in for a chat. If you stream for an hours and have 30 people watch you, that’s 30+ hours toward your 4000 hours of watch time goal you need to apply for that YouTube Partnership Program in 2019.

Update Your Keywords Every Month

Trending keywords most often have its own time limit. Today, those keywords can become highly searched, but weeks (or months) later, it may dropped its rankings – or new subtopics have taken over in terms of relevancy. In order for your videos to remain relevant, it’s best to always pay attention to latest trend related to your keywords once every few weeks.

To find which keywords work (and do not work), go to Youtube Studio, click on Analytics, go to ‘Reach’ tab – scroll down till you find ‘Traffic source: YouTube search’. Click on it and Youtube will show keywords that are popular and otherwise. Take the info, and use these keywords when updating your videos.

Leave Links On Your Social Media

Obviously, social media is crucial to attract your audience from multiple platforms. I’d recommend to not only post links on your feed, but to also leave links to your latest Youtube video on your profile.
